It’s time to rethink the workplace

Discussing culture, sustainability, gender, workplace design, psychological safety, identity, leadership, abilities, future of work and a whole bunch more.

Hi there!

We’re Edda and Ryan.

Tune in to our podcast and learn how to advocate for yourself at work – while looking after our humanity and planet.

We cover what’s happening in workplaces around the world and see how new ideas of work can help to solve today’s global challenges.

Fortnightly Drops.

Guest interviews, work stories and questioning the system.

We interview psychologists, architects, anthropologists, designers, activists, lawyers, artists, futurists writers and more.

Question the rules of the capitalist game.

Question the system
Are we satisfied with the current system of work? Could it be… better? One of our core themes is challenging everything we have accepted and normalised, turning it on its head and starting fresh. Ever thought about mental health KPIs? Or a universal basic income? Or paid pregnancy leave?

Everyone is invited.

Safety & Belonging
The workplace should be a safe place where everyone feels welcomed. We trust our employers to look after our physical health, but what about our psychological health? Leaders have a huge responsibility to protect employees from bullying, harassment, excessive stress and burnout. How can we all contribute to a safer workplace where everyone thrives?

If we all shake the world a little bit, we’ll get there.

Rethinking Work
Speaking up at work can be really tough. But if we all start to nudge our workplace towards meaningful change — whether that be more diverse hiring, more inclusive language, a sustainability initiative, equal pay conversations, or calling out bad behaviour — we’ll be moving in the right direction.

Work feels…

fascinating
tiring
busy
frustrating
hilarious
exhausting
fun
boring
f*cked
unproductive
euphoric
overwhelming
too much
not enough
